ice
Strong winds have cleared snow off the ice rink over the last week making so many ribboned, leafy, craggy cracks visible in the lake ice.
Janine was telling me today that when conditions are right in the spring the snow can melt before the ice has started to, and it's possible to see down to the bottom of the lake where green and grey rocks sit on the bottom and weeds reach up.
