NYPL

The Battery Park City Library opened on March 18th.

It's New York Public Library's first green LEED certified branch in Manhattan. Designed by 1100 architects. The circulation desk is made of recycled cardboard, the carpets are manufactured from repurposed truck tires, wood flooring was salvaged from old window frames and the staircase is made of recycled glass and mirrors.
