Bonnets and Bobbin Lace
The top bonnet in blue is from Denmark, and below it is a red wool bonnet from Lapland.
The traditional bobbin lace tools are from Norway.
Last week I visited the Nordic Heritage Museum in Seattle. Beautifully organised exhibitions in a wonderful early-century architecture. I saw thousands of lovely objects and photographs dating to the 1700's from Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway and Iceland.
A large Nordic population settled in Washington ...hence Nordstrom.
I'll post more images from the museum over the next day or two.
