a stunning photo taken just outside of Dawson City, Yukon by Palma. She says:
"We don't see the sun yet. But we see where the sun has been. The sun's rays break through a high valley in the hills and light up hill tops. The sun will hit the town about Jan 12th."
When I was living in Dawson I once caught a flash of sun shining on the living room wall out of the corner of my eye on a February afternoon in 2008. It was a startling moment after months of dim, blue daytime light. A bright yellow geometric blast! I thought the wall was on fire.
